A Tennessee Tradition: The Blackhorse Story

In 1991, Jeff Robinson returned home from Desert Storm with a plan. In March of 1992, with the help of his wife Sherri, the former helicopter pilot for the 101st Airborne Division opened a small pub in downtown Clarksville, Tennessee. But the couple’s vision didn’t stop with only a restaurant.

In 1995, they completed construction on their own brewery, making the newly christened Blackhorse Pub & Brewery one of the earliest Southeastern craft brew houses of the 90’s. They chose the name “Blackhorse” in honor of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. While Jeff never served in that unit, he admired the Cavalry’s spirit and energy, qualities he hoped the Pub would come to embody.

More than 20 years later, THE BLACKHORSE PUB & BREWERY has become a mainstay in Clarksville as a gathering place for friends and family. It is known for both its comfortable atmosphere and willingness to break new ground.

DOG GROOMING

Muttz Kuttz is your neighborhood grooming  facility located in Clarksville, TN.  Our facility has been open since November, 2003, under one owner, Kathryn Staggs.  We are conveniently located close to Ft. Campbell, KY and many neighborhoods located in the Tiny Town Rd. area.  We offer Bath/Brush Services and Full Service Grooming for all dog breeds.  Your dog can also receive de-shedding, teeth-brushing, special shampoos, nail polish and a number of other specialty services.  For those dogs with anxiety about grooming, we offer Pet CBD oil that can be purchased either by the dose or by the bottle.

Full Service and Bath/Brush Services are priced according to breed, size and type of service.  Prices can be quoted before appointment is reserved.  Prices may vary depending on the condition of the coat at the time of service.  This additional cost will be discussed and agreed upon before any services are rendered.

FHA Loan

Why is it different from other mortgages?

This loan is not funded by FHA but instead is funded by your mortgage lender and insured by Federal Housing Administration (FHA). In order to secure the guarantee of FHA, qualified borrowers are required to purchase mortgage insurance— and premium payments are made to FHA. So your mortgage lender takes on less of a risk since FHA will pay a claim if you default on the mortgage.

VA Loan

Why is it different from other mortgages?

While, this loan program does not require a down payment, similar to the RHS loan, it is unlike the RHS loan in that mortgage insurance is not required. The reason why your lender can offer these favorable loan terms- no down payment, no mortgage insurance, and lower credit score requirements than many conventional products- is because it is backed by the VA. Meaning your mortgage lender takes on less of a risk since the VA will pay a claim if you default on the mortgage. That being said, the VA has its own set of appraisal guidelines that the property must meet; dependent on the property this means a water test or a pest inspection may be required.
