OUR STORY
My brother and co-owner, Forrest, and I grew up right here in Sango. With both of our parents being teachers in the community, this area has always been an important part of our lives. I still remember spending the holidays helping our mom fix these huge meals, and then loading up with our dad in our old, brown conversion van and delivering those meals to some of the local senior citizens in the Sango community. It has become one of my favorite childhood memories.
Now, years later, our parents are no longer with us, but this community, and the people in it, are just as important to us today as they were back then, and it is our endearing hope that a piece of them remains as we continue to serve people right here in the community they called home.
So with all of that being said, let me take a moment to introduce you to The Goat Family. The Goat was an idea inspired by our parents’ love for people. At the very beginning, we started with the goal to create a place in Sango unlike anything else, where strangers could become friends, and friends become family.
So The Goat is not just a restaurant or a bar or a coffee shop. It’s a funky, little hangout composed of some of the most amazing people you will ever meet, whom we consider family, where everyone can come and gather together around a table and make memories that will last a lifetime. Oh, and have some amazingly delicious food and drinks along the way.
And with artisan coffees, craft beer, handcrafted pizzas, delicious cream sodas, fresh-made desserts, and homemade pastries, we truly have something for everyone. Because at The Thirsty Goat, “It’s whatever floats your goat.”
